Warm and Cool provides comprehensive servicing and maintenance for all our heating and ventilation systems. We can also maintain radiator based central heating systems (wood, coal, diesel or heat pump powered). Service areas include Otago and Southland.

Annual Maintenance Check

To ensure your system continues to operate at peak efficiency and meet warranty requirements we recommend an annual maintenance check.

Our annual comprehensive maintenance service includes:

Under Floor Heating - Heat Pump

Balance water-air pressure
Test anti-freeze protection
Add anti-corrosive fluid
Check system filter for foreign objects
Check cleanliness of outdoor unit core
Check airflow around heat pump
Adjust temperature if required
Check flow rates for each heating zone
Check thermostats
Replace batteries in battery operated thermostats
Answer owner questions where required

Under Floor Heating - Diesel/Gas Boiler

Check corrosive protection level
Check diesel filter
Clean diesel burner head or gas flame
Check and clean firebox if required (charged separately - allow up to one additional hour)
Balance water-air pressure
Check thermostats
Replace batteries in battery operated thermostats
Test diesel - verify air-diesel balance for a clean burn, replace injection jet if spray pattern not correct
Check for a good flame burn - test diesel pump jet head pressure if required
Check diesel boiler room is getting plenty of fresh air
Answer owner questions where required

Under Floor Heating - Electric Boiler

Check corrosive protection level
Check temperature cut off safety thermostat is working
Balance water-air pressure
Check thermostats are operating at correct temperature on flow and return
Replace batteries in battery operated thermostats
Change main thermostats safety relay at most once every 6 years
Check elements KW ratings
Inspect wiring for signs of heating at terminals, and thermostats
Check smoke alarm battery in control panel box - if not fitted install smoke alarm and date it
Adjust main room thermostats
Answer owner questions where required

Heat Recovery Ventilation Systems

Check door and bin filters where fitted are clean
Check ceiling filters are clean if fitted
Verify fan motors are both operating efficiently and quietly
